I grew up surrounded by art, especially classical painting, in a place where the wind takes you down unexpected paths. That wind, characteristic of my hometown of Zaragoza, provided me with experiences I never imagined. I studied in Spain and Scandinavia. In Germany, my current country of residence, is not only where I began my working life, but also where my interest in abstract art and other forms of art arose. However, my work is deeply marked by my Aragonese origins, both my childhood and adolescence in Zaragoza, and my summers in the mountains of Moncayo and the Pyrenees, which are still a great source of inspiration for all my projects.
After having moved seven times, resulting in a fusion of cultures and trunks full of canvases, I invite viewers to journey through my paintings, where natural elements such as wind, water and the light of the sky will convey to them individual and collective realities of the dynamism of life.
Why do we tend to see the world from a single angle or perspective and not from infinite particular universes?
This is a very personal project that I have been working on for the last three years. I explore textures and colours within abstraction, creating versatile compositions that work pictorially in different positions; thus by turning 90 or 180 degrees, the viewer becomes part of the final creative process by discovering new compositions in the same painting.
Turn the painting over and you will be surprised by what you discover.
